While private space means withdrawing, public space is defined as a place of visibility, movement, and political positioning. On the other hand, there is virtual space, which has created new forms of representation.
What is the significance of public and private spaces for artistic work, and vice versa? Can socio-political issues emerge out of this and what is the significance of feminist perspectives? A discussion on the relationship between home, the individual, society, and art.
An event organized by the Department of Women’s Affairs in Frankfurt in cooperation with the Mousonturm and the Hessian Agency for Civic Education.
